Netmon SE Licensing

Netmon is licensed on a per monitored device basis. This means that you can set up an unlimited number of specific monitoring goals, up to the maximum number of devices specified in your license.

You typically don't need to monitor every device in your network. Workstations, printers and other non-essential peripherals don't necessary have to count towards your device license limit, even though you'll still be able to monitor all of the network traffic from these systems.

Netmon can monitor traffic on one or more network segments through the use of a packet sniffer / protocol analyzer. Monitoring network traffic does not count toward your Device limit - you're free to monitor as much network activity as your hardware allows.

Example 1: Your network has 25 servers, 5 switches, 2 routers and 300 workstations. You want to monitor all your servers, switches and routers, as well as a handful of workstations. Netmon SE-50 is for you.

Example 2: Your network has 100 servers, 20 switches, 2 routers and 500 workstations. You want to monitor all your servers, switches and routers, as well as a handful of workstations. Netmon SE-250 is for you.
